Thank you for playing ChineseChess (the "Activity", "App", "we", "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience when using our Discord Activity. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information.

1. Information We Collect

When you use the ChineseChess Activity on Discord, we may collect the following types of information via the Discord API:

• Public Profile Information: including your Discord Username, User ID, Avatar, and Display Name.
• Activity State: We process any moves, chat messages, and game state interactions made within the application in order to sync the game with other players in real-time.

We do not collect or request access to your password, email address, or private servers outside of what the standard Discord Activity SDK shares by default.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely for the functionality of the ChineseChess Activity:

• To enable real-time multiplayer gameplay and display player profiles on the chess board.
• To maintain room states and lobby synchronization.
• To display in-game chat messages sent by the users.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising or external marketing purposes.

3. Data Retention

We do not permanently store your personal data. Chat messages and game states are stored in server memory only while the active game session lasts. Once a session is closed or reset, this temporary data may be permanently destroyed.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your display name, avatar, and in-game chat messages are visible to other players who are in the same game room as you.
